Together We Strengthen the Community
The spirit of giving is core to The Center’s existence. Take a look at how our volunteers are contributing to the community every day:
- Volunteers lead our boards of directors and committees.
- Volunteers raise funds to ensure The Center is accessible to all members of our community regardless of their ability to pay.
- Volunteers coach our sports teams and teach our classes.
- Volunteers work The Center’s six-day Canal Celebration every year.
- Volunteers support and motivate our youth in building a foundation of character, smart life choices, positive behaviors, better health and pursuit of their dreams.
- Volunteers advocate for The Center to influence local initiates that positively impact societal issues important to our community.
- Volunteers participate in opportunities to support our neighbors in need.
- Volunteers provide routine maintenance to The Center’s historic facility.
Changing the conversation.
We love Little Falls and we believe that relationships are at the heart of what makes it such an amazing community. We think EVERYONE has something to bring to the table and we want to help you find the activity that’s right for you!
Building Partnerships.
Strong communities start with strong partnerships. LFVC is committed to working collaboratively with organizations to help broaden our collective impact.
Volunteer Talk.
Everyone has their own reasons for volunteering their time but many people have the same thing in common: Little Falls is a community they love.
Volunteer
The Center’s mission, since 1883, has been to invest in a strong, thriving community with specifically-targeted programs for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Our programs are only possible through the generosity of volunteers, like yourself, who contribute their time, experience, and passion for helping neighbors in need. We’ve made it easier for you to find the activities that inspire you to act, and you’ll find information on current opportunities below.

Make New Friends
The secret to a happy life could be as easy as volunteering at The Center, especially if you are at retirement age. Retirement can be the perfect time to give back, explore new things and expand your circle of friends.
Good for Business
Small businesses that volunteer gain increased awareness and better brand image because of the positive public perception. This is especially true for small businesses in local communities.
Good for Your Health
Volunteers report positive improvements in their physical health, less stress, higher self-esteem, an increased circle of friends, and a more positive outlook on life.
